Get the look: Modern Take on Vintage Glam Makeup!

There are so many crazy/totally cool makeup trends going on right now, but sometimes, there’s nothing better than a classic vintage glam makeup look to wear on a special night out, or even just for fun! We decided to incorporate some modern styles into our vintage look, and outlined our favorite products and shades you need to create the look for yourself!

Face:

The look we are trying to achieve is a very soft, natural, and dewy complexion, which is why we chose the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Mousse Makeup and the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Maximum Coverage Concealer. This Flawless Finish collection contains formulas that blend seamlessly with your skin and give a soft and illuminated complexion, while still providing enough coverage to even out your skin tone and hide any imperfections.

Another key component to the vintage glam look is making sure you have both a rosy and bronze flush of color to your cheeks. We chose the Loreal The One Sweep Sculpting Blush Duo because it combines a blush and bronzer that you can apply in just one sweep to add an effortless and natural looking luminous color your complexion. Thetwo shades are chosen to complement each other, so you don't have to worry about whether the shades will blend or which is right for your skin tone.

Eyes:

For the eyes, we want to create a soft smoky eye - dramatic, but not too bold, so we picked up the Cover Girl Smoky Shadowblast Eye Shadow Stick. It's a dual ended shadow stick - a creamy alternative to powder eye shadow so the shades can be easily blended together. You have a darker defining shade, and a lighter highlighting shade. You can smudge the shades together to create a soft, smoky look that will give a glamorous vintage feel.

We don't want a super defined eyeliner stroke- we want to blend it with the Shadowblast Eye Shadow Stick we just used. The Maybelline Eye Studio Master Smoky Mechanical Pencil in Scorching Brown will allow us to add some more definition to our lash line without creating a harsh stroke, because it comes with a built-in smudger so we can blend it into our shadow.

Long, bold lashes are a must for this look so we are using the Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Waterproof Mascara. This mascara has bold color in a creamy formula to add a dramatic finish to your lashes. It has a dual action brush that builds volume and length by thickening and defining each lash. No glamorous look is complete without perfect brows - try the Maybelline Eye Studio Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara. This brow mascara works so much better than your traditional pencils at filling in any gaps and creating an overall natural, blended look. The exclusive sculpting ball brush helps follow your natural brow shape and the gel formula stays flexible all day for a soft finish.

Lips:

Lips tie an entire makeup look together, so you want to make sure your lipcolor lasts. For vintage glam, we want a high color, high shine lipcolor in bold, eye catching red tones. We decided to skip having to use both a lipstick and a lip gloss by choosing the Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick. It's basically a lipstick disguised in a lip gloss formula and applicator because the color is just as rich as a stick, plus it has a conditioning, glossy top coat built in the formula. It lasts 12 hours and is feather-proof and fade-proof, even after you eat.
